What we are looking for:
We are looking for a professional and experienced Senior Specification Technologist to join our growing Technical team. As a Senior Specification Technologist you will provide support for technical matters liaising with customers and suppliers on technical requirements, specifications and product information. As a key member of the Technical team, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise workload and work well as part of a team. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of technical processes with experience in specification writing

Key responsibilities as a Senior Specification Technologist will be to:
- Leading and supporting on critical path management.
- Co-ordination and implementation of all activities relating to specification and artwork generation for new and existing products.
- Ensuring that all artwork adheres to legal and customer standards.
- Interaction with customer design / technical teams and printers to ensure all critical path timings are achieved.
- Ensuring that customer specifications are to gold standard and accurately transferred to internal systems.
- Training, managing and motivating Specification Technologists within your team.
- Ensuring that all work meets commercial, technical and customer requirements.
- Managing internal packaging and Ingredient specifications.

Required experience/expertise to succeed as a Senior Specification Technologist will include:
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry in a technical role within Food Manufacturing and strong ambition to progress their career within the Technical environment.
- A degree or qualifications within a Food Science or Technology discipline.
- Strong knowledge of recipe generation, food nutrition and food labelling.
- Experience of working with an online retailer specification system and a good working knowledge of computer systems.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines with good project management and organisation skills.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement initiatives within the business.
